I know that it's Friday for a fact today, as my veterinarian told me just a few minutes ago that I couldn't bring in a urine sample from Guthrie tomorrow, as tomorrow is Saturday! So I know I have this day right! I feel all powerful now! LOL Now that's a way to start out a post!
Speaking of Guthrie though, he passed the vets approval today which is great, as he has diabetes insipidus and we had quite a time with him for about the first six months after we got him as a tiny pup. So he has all his shots renewed and all the annual tests taken care of. He was a good boy there and now here he is at home again being every bit of good. He has one of his chewys and he's a happy boy.
Then there's Riley who's always a good boy as well, and his main concern this minute, is that once Guthrie is done his chewy, that he may come after his!
Before I go any further, I have to show you this picture that I took from my sewing room window. Not of the Hummingbird feeder, but of the Hydrangeas. So pretty this time of year. There's a vine that I need to clean out of them on a cooler day.
So we have this little tiny Maple tree out in the front yard. Probably three years old. So here it is.....with something in it.
A Mockingbird's nest! Three eggs so far. I don't know how many is normal for them, but three is good. So many birds will build moss, feathers, dry grass, hair, thread and other soft things into their nests. Well, other than three or four little feathers, all the Mockingbirds use are small sticks! I wouldn't think that tiny bare naked babies would be comfortable on something like that, but I'm not the mama here! They do make good looking eggs though! Oh! Now that I look again, I do see some yarn that I had put out for them!
I do hope that all my dear friends and followers here are still trying to stay safe. The cases here in NC have doubled over the last two weeks, as it has in many other parts of the United States. Places have begun to open back up here, and we can see some of people's favorite restaurants in this area, jam packed! People going in and coming out with no protection....God bless them. I know people are tired of being stuck inside so to speak. Not seeing their family is hard as well. Not being able to worship inside an air conditioned building is tough also, but we need to stay well. If not for ourselves, then for our families. So be well and stay safe.
So today, I have no pictures of my stitching. I have been outside the past three days, working at getting all my plants in, and I did it finally! I also finished painting all the lumber for the shutters for my she shed as well. Glad both things have been accomplished, as it's far to hot and humid to be outside for any length of time. I just got back from a short walk today, and even with the strong breeze, it was very uncomfortable. I plan on staying in and working on my cross stitched trees for the rest of today...........After my nap!
Going to let you go this time. Love you all. Let's keep ourselves healthy. Our fingers busy and our hearts smiling from seeing all those beautiful colors everywhere.
