A Tiny Bit of Progress

I do mean tiny! Put in an hour today and though it's going slow as I said before, I am enjoying lots of different colors.  So far.............. I think everything is outlined also, and will be doing that as I go along.

A also decided to go ahead with the 52 week SAL over at www.facebook.com/groups/PeppermintPurpleSALGroup/ .  They're on week five now, but you can get every weeks chart anytime.  I did mention that I had ordered some variegated green thread for it, and I love the colors in it.  I put in an hour on this today also, and here it is so far.  Each weeks square is back stitched in black, and that will really make the designs pop I'm sure   I started it because "Spring Renewal" is so tedious that I felt that I needed to relax with something a little simpler and enjoyable.

A few days ago I mentioned that I picked up more yarn for another scarf.  This is Mexicana by Red Heart  and all the colors are so very bright.  I've already decided who this one would go to,  and I know he'll love it!

I just have to show y'all what a peeper is! I mentioned that the spring peepers were very loud in the evenings.  There has to be thousands out past our wooded area, as each one is only about the size of a dime.  Here's the picture that I got online and I think will give you an idea just how little they are.  Poor little things don't do much of anything other that peep all night!

Spring begins next month, and if it seems like a long way off, just think how fast January went by! Looking out in my yard, reminds me how much weeding and cleaning up I have to do before anything new gets planted.  I'll be concentrating on my she shed area this spring and summer.  I love the thought of bird feeders and baths right outside one of my shed windows so I can watch them without them even knowing I'm close by.

Need to let y'all go now.  I may even be able to get in a little more stitching tonight.  We'll see.  I love you all.  Stay well and warm and don't forget to "feel the colors".

  7. You do keep busy with your stitches Linda. What lovely projects you are working on. As you're looking forward to spring, I'm looking forward to Autumn and some rain, I hope. The garden is suffering from the dry - even the weeds are dying. The Peepers are very tiny, it sounds like what they lack in size, they make up for in sound!
