A Beehive Appears!

Got to work on my stitching today for a couple of hours, and it was nice to see the beehive in it take shape.  I think actually, the most intensive stitching has been taken care of since all the houses are done.  Working on the lower left side of the piece, and now that I think about it....there are no clouds.  The fabric is sky blue, so the sky in completed also.  So I feel that I'm moving right along now.  Here's a picture of the hive.  Once it's backstitched, it will not only pop, but it will buzz as well!

Today, being Wednesday, the chart for the weekly SAL was published. Over at the Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/groups/PeppermintPurpleSALGroup/ has lots of pictures from ladie's who jumped right on it, and finished this week's in no time.  Please drop in over there and see the lovely color combinations.  Though I have a copy of this weeks chart, I didn't start it.  That will come tomorrow.

I was out in our back yard yesterday afternoon talking with our friend, Dave, and as I turned to head back in, I happened to look down and right at a four leaf clover.  Picked it and handed it to Dave.  He told me later that he had never seen a four leaf clover before! Well, I'm glad I happened to see this one then.  I have found so many of them over my life time, and it was always when I just happen to see it.  Now I don't believe that these bring us good luck, but what a nice thing to find so close to the first day of spring.

I showed y'all a beautiful scarf done in variegated yarn just a few days ago, and once I read the pattern through, I cast on the required stitches and began.  As soon as I got to the third row, it looked like the left hand side of my work was slanting inward.   After row five, I unravelled it and put it aside.  Now I started knitting when I was five and will be 74 in another few days.  So, I know I wasn't reading the pattern wrong.  I'm willing to give it another try, but will go back to where I got the pattern to begin with first and see if there has been any correction made for it.   Wondering if any of my followers have knitted this same scarf and had any problems with it.  You can find the pattern  at

I hope some of you, my followers and friends are enjoying some beautiful spring weather.  Today was such a gorgeous day.  A Bluebird day indeed!  Sun was bright and the temperature was perfect.  One of those days most of us look and wait for at the end of a long winter.  I think sometime in the next few days, we'll have to go down to New Bern's park for a little fishing from the shore, and I'll be sure to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy as well.

I need to let y'all go for now.  Our area has kept from this awful virus sweeping our planet Earth.  I pray that we continue to be blessed, but I'm thinking that sooner or later it will indeed find our small part of the world.  Please! Y'all stay as safe as you can.  We can't stop living but we can take precautions and try to stay well.  Love each and every one of you and thank you for being followers and friends.

Last, but not least............Yeap! Ya'll guessed it.  Don't forget  to "feel the colors".

    1. Hi Robin, Thank you for stopping in and you're always so sweet to leave a comment. Our local senior center was informed by the city that they had to close down. Where we deal with older people, the city felt that it would be smart to close now before the corona virus started showing up in this area. We also heard on the news that Walmarts and Targets, will have people stationed in their parking lots and will be testing as many people as they can before entering the stores. Nothing has shown up here thus far, but better to be safe than sorry. You have a wonderful weekend full of blessings, Robin.
