Yesterday's Post...........Today

Yes it was a good Tuesday.  It was a 100% Bluebird day as a matter of fact! Billy woke me up this morning as he does every day......With a kiss on the cheek or forehead and a cup of coffee.  What was different this morning though, was that he told me that he had some news that would make me real happy.  He had been watching a pair of Bluebirds in the house in the front yard.  This seems to be the first one they set up housekeeping in every year.  He had been watching them for a good half hour or longer and they were "moving their furniture in", so he said.  LOL  Sure enough! They kept busy all day today..  Thank you Father for this tiny couple.  Bill and I will keep an eye on the nesting box to make sure the English House Sparrows don't try to take it over.

So I must confess that I've been spending lots of time outside in my garden areas.  Putting lots of plants in over by my she shed.  All perennials so far, and I'm trying to keep it to the native plants of North Carolina.  We'll see how it takes shape as the season goes on.  I'm just plain enjoying the sun and fresh air though.

I have been doing a little stitching here and there, and I'm finally just about done with all the flowers in the wheelbarrow! Lots of them and as in the beginning, many different colors from two to five stitches each.  I  think they're called confetti stitches.  Correct me if I'm wrong please.  This below shows the area that I'm speaking of.  Even when the day has seemed long, back stitching wouldn't be too tiring.  I need to keep this in mind.

Now all of the above was written yesterday.  I had wanted to get a post out, but with that written, it just didn't seem post worthy.  So I held onto it and I'm adding to it today with a few more pictures.

I did in fact, do some back stitching last night and the morning as well.  So here's the difference it made from the picture above.

I spent most of the day today out in the yard again.  Putting in more plants.  One thing I did start today, was to turn the music on in my shed, and do all my exercises to the music.  We used to go to Planet Fitness three days a week, but haven't since it closed down due to the pandemic.  So, Dave and I have been walking nearly every day, but that's about it.  So I needed this change, and it's a lot easier doing things along with Meat Loaf, as well as The Band, Dr. Hook and Bob Dylan than doing them alone!

Then I decided that since it was so very quiet after I turned the music off, to finish another puzzle up.  This one was fun.  Lots of color and all.

This post seems to be a bit chopped up.  I'm jumping from one subject to another! So if you're dizzy, or confused at this point, sit back and breathe deeply with your eyes closed.  Again......Again......There! Now read on!

Back to yesterday's Bluebirds! Not a real clear picture, but I did manage to get both male and female at the same time.  Just so y'all know.  Bluebirds are very friendly, and very sociable.  They have no problem with us peeking inside the house in hopes to see the eggs and then the babies.  My beautiful daughter-in-law in NH will always thank the mama bird after she closes the side door to the house or puts the roof back down.  They'll go right back inside to the nest.

So here's a quick snap of my work out by my shed.  Will take closer and better ones as the season goes on as well as I get more work done on my shed.  Will be going to pick up the lumber for the shutters tomorrow and probably the paint for them as well.  I am really enjoying my little place to decorate and relax with my hobbies, reading and all.

One last picture this time around.  Here's our Tiny Girl.  She's going on four years of age now, and is of course just another addition to our family.  She'll sit it this window and just watch and wait.  Sometimes she'll see lizards right by the window.  Other times she just watch the leaves blow in a gentle breeze.  Little did she know that she was missing a Hummingbird when she turned and looked for this picture.  Yeap.  That's one just below the feeder! Yes again....That's indeed a cat food box bottom that she sits in! When you have fur babies, things just happen that way!

I will let you go for tonight y'all.  I already have more things to show you tomorrow, so we'll see you then.  I'm praying that you're all well and getting along well with this shutdown and all.  We're doing well here, but I'm looking forward to getting out to eat as soon as we can.  I really think that it's going to be another long while, but we'll see.  Just stay safe and stay well.  I love each and every one of you.  Don't forget to look around you and "feel those colors".

  1. LindaLee: I love seeing the birds making nests, my favorite are the robins, they make a nest on the front porch and two others make nest out under the back deck, we shoo away the swallows only because they are so dirty and down right mean to the robins.
Your baby is adorable, Blondie the Cat says hello to your tiny baby.
The Sampler is beautiful, you have made great progress.
    Blessings

  2. Good morning Catherine! Thank you for sticking with me. I'm so glad I did blog yesterday and plan on another post today We shoo the sparrows for the same reason. They will push and peck at the Bluebirds until they've pushed them out. Any eggs in the nest will also be pecked at whenever they can get to them. Say Howdy to Blondie from TinyGirl here in NC. The sampler is coming along, and thank you for your lovely comment. Have a great rest of the week.
