No stitching photos this time around. I've been stitching on my spring piece and have come along nicely. I now have four flowers, two rabbits and two chicks stitched up. Plus I'm approaching the flower cart! I have more done now than not and though it will be too late for this spring, I'm excited about finishing up soon and having it framed.
I had been assembling a puzzle in my shed last week. Here's a picture of it completed below.
Yes! I did say completed! Yes! There are three more pieces to put in, and yes again, there are three pieces sitting to the right of it. None of the three remaining pieces fit in any of the three spaces on the puzzle! Dang! Well I can say that it gave me something to do, and from now on, I'll buy the nicer puzzles for sure. I have already started another and have nearly all the edge pieces together.
It has been nice enough to get out for our walks, all though I did miss a couple of days. Walked laps around the city park today until we got rained out. Wild onions grow like crazy here, and again, I wouldn't want a yard full of them. The flowers are pretty though, and I do have some in one of my gardens, that I snip and use like chives.
Found another heart in the park this morning.
One of the paths that we take heading towards the creek. It was a pretty day the other day when I took this one. Everything is so green right now and this area is always quiet. Just a nice place to check out.
Another rose in bloom in one of my gardens this morning. This is another favorite of mine.
Well, this evening is a little chilly again. By this time every other year, it has started warming up nicely, but this year, we dip back into the cold every few days. I realize though, that once the hot and humid summer is upon us, I'll look back to this day and remember how good it felt. I am looking forward to getting more done in my gardens though, and it's hard to get out there with chilly and rainy days are here. We all have nicer weather ahead though.
I do hope that all of my dear friends here are doing well with this virus still hitting left and right. We're being so careful, as I'm sure y'all are. I have a huge stash still of my cross stitch supplies as well as knitting and crocheting patterns. My puzzles and my paint by number picture. I even ordered a book yesterday from Amazon. Title is "Things in Jars" by Jess Kidd. The write up sounded good. Our monthly library club has stopped until all the virus is gone, so this book should do me for at least a few days. Have any of you gotten into new interests I wonder.
Now I need to let you go for this evening. Going to get comfy and pick up my stitching for a few minutes. If any of my followers would like to show your stitched pieces here, please send me a picture of it, with your name and all, and I'll post it here for you. Email to send your pictures is MissLindaLee@ec.rr.com. Doesn't have to be cross stitch mind y'all. Knitting, crocheting, quilting, crewel work, painting or anything else that you do by hand. I would be more than happy to post your pictures here.
So that's all for tonight. Stay safe and stay well. Love y'all. And...............You guessed it! Don't forget to "feel the colors"
Lovely post always positive .
ReplyDeleteYour rose is beautiful , my ones are in bud but maybe another week yet.
I never seem to know what day it is I lost two last week ha.
I love puzzles I may get another one out soon.
Have a lovely day , hugs .
If you find the two days you lost, then I'll start looking for my two as well! LOL The puzzle I'm putting together now is coming right along, and pretty one of an old fashioned fruit stand. Enjoy your roses when the do open. Have a good week and be well.
DeleteDelightful post, LindaLee! Interesting about the three leftover puzzle pieces and none fitting in the empty spots! We did our shopping today at Yoder's Market, so we should be good for the rest of the week or so. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteWe try to limit our shopping as well, and each time we go, there are more shelves empty. Now they're talking about the meat processing plants closing down, and here are the poor farmers, having to throw produce away. I'm keeping all in prayer. You stay well and stay safe. Enjoy the rest of the week my friend.
DeleteIt is very hard to keep track of the days lately. So don't worry. Lovely puzzle. I hate those puzzles that the pieces don't fit right. They are so frustrating. Beautiful photos of your walk. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteHowdy Katie my dear friend. I hope your week is going real well. Thank you so much for being so loyal with your visits and your dear comments. Love you girl.
DeleteHow frustrating you are missing 3 pieces. Dh has a puzzle on the table here too that he has been dipping into whilst we are home and not allowed out.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty rose, does it have a nice scent?
I keep a list of jobs to do each day and that means I know what day it is... I wouldn't if I didn't!
Hi Julie. What a neat way to keep track of the days of the week! I'll have to try that as well. Unfortunately, my pretty rose has no scent at all. I would love some nice old fashioned roses that smell delicious! My second puzzle is going well. I keep looking for the last edge piece while putting the rest together. LOL You stay safe and well Julie. Have a great rest of the week my friend.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your puzzle LindaLee, sometimes I find that I have put a piece in the wrong place when that happens. Glad you have been having good weather; some are still getting snow! I agree it is hard to keep track of the days but since my daughter goes to work it is a little easier.
ReplyDeleteI thought Wednesday was Tuesday this week, so it messed me up just a little bit.
ReplyDeleteWell I've never had that happen before with a puzzle, so strange. I know my parents were missing one piece from a big one so they used crayon shavings to fill it.
More beautiful roses, lucky you!
